Mykola and Valentyna Deka, who are well known in the Dnipropetrovsk region as well-known masters of Petrykivka painting, members of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, organized the museum-estate. In the grandfather's house, which has preserved all the features and characteristics of the folk life of the Dnieper region of the early 20th century, a couple of talented artists founded an ethno-museum. For this purpose, they painted the hut inside and out with the colors of traditional Petrykivka painting. For the guests of their estate, the owners built 2 houses according to the traditional ecological technology for the south of Ukraine - from clay, straw and reeds. The couple's work blossomed the walls and windows of houses with a variety of floral ornaments, landscapes, images of animals, turning the estate into an exhibit from the exhibition of Petrykivka paintings. In addition, the century-old house has collected ancient details of the interior, life and clothing. You will get acquainted with the traditions of Ukrainians, see how housewives in ancient times worked on a loom, how to fight near the stove with pots and stags.

Visits to Mykolay Khutor do not leave indifferent neither adults nor children. In the yard of the estate the kid will be able to get acquainted with horses, chickens and piglets and even feed them. For urban children, such an excursion is more exciting than visiting the zoo.

Mykolay Khutir was awarded by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council and village and district councils for their achievements in the development of green tourism and respect for folk traditions. You can get to Petrykivka from the central bus station of the Dnieper, as well as from Poltava - from the AC-1. Mykolyn Khutir Museum-Estate is located almost in the center of the village, 5 km from the Petrykivka Folk Art Center. The ethno-museum is open daily, but the tour must be booked in advance.
